Home and Décor Shopping Tips

Discount Stores have amazing home décor bargains. I love my standard three: Ross, Marshalls, and TJ Maxx. They are a fantastic place to find trendy, name brand and designer everything from towels, sheets, throw pillows, blankets, vases, bath accessories, hampers, baskets, items for the kitchen, art work, and knick knacks.  Throw pillows for example can run up to $60 dollars.

I have found luxurious and in fashion pillows in the $8 range. At that price, you can easily dress up a boring space or redecorate often. Name brand sheets and bed pillows are also a steal at these stores. I have bought king size Ralph Lauren pillows for under $10 and 600 thread count kind sheets for $30. I want style, quality, and great brands for a fraction of what I would have to pay in a department store.  The home sections of these discount stores are an invaluable way to decorate and update your home inexpensively.

I got these items pictured at TJ Maxx. I didn’t want an entry table and thought a bench would be a nice way to warm up the large space. I wanted something simple and uncluttered. The chocolate leather bench and the throw pillows were less than $130. Finding a leather bench at other stores was approximately double the price. Inexpensive, simple decor that is functional as we have actually sat on it.  Keep an eye out for larger, substantial pieces at the discount stores. You can find enormous savings.
