Salmon Cream Cheese Puff Pastry

  1. • Puff Pastry sheets
  2. • Salmon
  3. • Spinach
  4. • Sun Dried Tomatoes
  5. • Cream Cheese (I like to use the spinach and artichoke flavor in the tub)
  6. • Salt and pepper
  7. • Egg
Instructions
  1. Make sure pastry sheets are thawed and preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Sauté the veggies for just a few minutes. You can add onion or mushrooms too if you like. Unroll pastry sheet and cut in half. Place the salmon on one half of the sheet leaving room around the edges. Top with your veggies and add cream cheese. I use about 2 tablespoons (I like it creamy and gooey). You can use as little or as much veggie mixture as you want.
  2. Make an egg wash using one egg and a table spoon of water. Wisk and spread on the edges of the pastry sheet. Fold over your pastry so as to cover all the filling. Pinch the edges so that none of your filling will spill out while cooking. You might need to trim the edges if there is excess dough. After pinching the dough, I go back with a fork and press the edges again making sure not to puncture the dough.
  3. Using a pastry brush, brush the tops with the egg wash and place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Watch that your pastry doesn’t get too brown. I usually let the pastry set for a few minutes because the contents will be insanely hot.
