Easy, Healthy, One Pot Ground Beef Dish

I don’t have a name for this recipe, but it is healthy, low carb, low calorie, and low fat not to mention inexpensive and full of flavor. It all cooks in one pan and is ready in 15 minutes. Brown the meat and mix in a few ingredients and dinner is served.

One Pot Ground Beef Dish Recipe
  1. • 1 to 1 ½ lb Ground meat (I use the 96/4 super lean beef, you can use ground turkey or the fatty stuff)
  2. • 1 large jar of your favorite salsa (mild, medium, hot whatever you family likes)
  3. • 2 bags of the mixed veggie steamers in the frozen food section
  4. • Salt and Garlic Pepper
  1. Brown the meat and season with the salt and garlic pepper. While the meat is cooking, microwave (steam) the bags of veggies.
  2. Drain the meat and place back into the pan. Add the veggies and the jar of salsa. Simmer for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Place in bowls. You can add Mexican shredded cheese, corn chips, cilantro, sliced avocado, etc. Plain is healthiest of course
