Easy Cream Cheese Frosting for the Holiday

Not the best baker or just don’t have the time? I found that you can cut corners with boxed cake and cookie mixes. They are great and just as moist. I take issue with the canned frosting. It is ok, but it isn’t as good as the stuff from scratch. It takes minutes to whip up delicious frosting, and everyone will think you are a homemaking goddess. I get compliments every time I use this frosting. Simple, easy, and cream cheese wonderful.

Easy Cream Cheese Frosting Recipe

Ingredients
  1. • 1 stick of butter (softened)
  2. • 1 8oz cream cheese (softened)
  3. • 1 lb of powdered sugar
  4. • 1 t of vanilla
Instructions
  1. Combine all of the above ingredients in a large bowl with a hand mixer. Mix until creamy and smooth. You can easily double this recipe. I sometimes add a bit more vanilla, my preference.
Notes
  1. Prefect for adding a homemade touch on a not so homemade dessert. These are holiday spiced pumpkin cookies in the picture. They are a mix. When the cookies came out of the over after 7 minutes, the frosting was already finished. Easy.
